COPYRIGHT
All information, graphic images, and designs contained on this site or in printed form in our products are protected by copyright law in New Zealand and Australia and in most other countries. No part of this website or printed material may be reproduced, copied, reprinted, re-typed, broadcast, or stored in any retrieval system, without the express permission of Gecko Press Publishing Ltd.
PRICING
All prices on this website are in New Zealand Dollars NZD.
All charges will be billed to the customer in New Zealand Dollars.
DELIVERY - NEW ZEALAND
The cost of delivery varies with each order based on number of books and weight.
Orders to locations within New Zealand are delivered using either New Zealand Post or a courier service.
We endeavour to ship your order within one working day of your order being placed. If we cannot meet this target, we will inform you by email.
DELIVERY - OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS
The cost of freight varies with each order (according to weight and destination). You will see a delivery charge on your order based on number of books, weight and postal zone. Please contact us by email (www.geckopress@geckopress.com) if you wish to discuss the cost of delivery. We send international orders by New Zealand Post. (New Zealand does not have a Sea Mail or Surface service).
We endeavour to ship your order within one working day of your order being placed. If we cannot meet this target, we will inform you by email.
We do not own the rights to sell some books to some countries.
GOODS AND SERVICES TAX (GST)
For orders delivered to addresses within New Zealand, prices include Good and Services Tax (GST) of 12.5%.
GST will be deducted before charging the customer’s credit card, for orders delivered to addresses outside of New Zealand.
IMPORT, CUSTOMS DUTIES, AND TAXES
International shipping and handling costs charged to the customer’s credit card do not include applicable import duties or taxes that are due upon entry into the destination country. If the destination country imposes import duties and/or taxes, the customer is responsible for their payment.
RETURNS / EXCHANGES
Exchange Card Policy
We will exchange any Gecko Press book for another of equivalent value, less the shipping, handling and packaging cost. We are unable to reimburse freight costs and freight will be charged for the exchange item.
We will only accept returns if:
• The return package is postmarked within 14 days of receipt of order, and
• The product(s) are in original condition.
or
• The return package is postmarked within 14 days of receipt of order, and
• The product as you received it has a manufacturing fault.
Before making a return, you must email us at our Online shop, stating:

Your name
•
E-mail address
•
Description (ISBN number) of product being returned.
•
Reason for returning the product.
Provided the reason for return meets these terms, we will provide you with a Return Authorisation Number.
The customer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
If the reason for returning the product(s) is because of manufacturing faults, we will either replace the product or fully refund the purchase price.
For all other returns, we will refund the full purchase price less the shipping, handling and packaging cost.
ORDER CANCELLATION
An order may be cancelled at any time prior to the email confirming shipment of your order.
To cancel an order, simply email our Online shop stating:

•
E-mail address.
We will acknowledge all cancellations via e-mail.
DELAY IN SUPPLY
We will advise you if your order is delayed for any reason.
PRIVACY ACT
The information you provide to us in the course of ordering products will never be given, sold or otherwise revealed to other companies or organisations. Sensitive information (i.e. credit card number) is held in a secure form and will not be divulged under any circumstances except to authorities legally entitled to that information through the application of relevant New Zealand law.
No disclosure
We need some of your personal details in order to supply your order or to give you access to our database. We will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your personal details to any third party unless:
• We are required to by law
• We are completing financial transactions with our bank
• We need to protect the rights or property of New Zealand Books Abroad
• We need to provide you with a service you have requested
We will record your IP address for audit and statistical purposes. IP addresses may also be used to investigate fraudulent activities in our online shop, should that be necessary.
CONTACTING YOU
We may contact you by email occasionally to advise about a new book list or book event. You may choose to remove yourself from any newsletter by following the Unsubscribe prompt at the bottom of the email. We may also contact you to
• clarify details of your order,
• advise of changes to our website
• respond to your queries.
SEVERABILITY
In the event that any part of these terms and conditions will be determined to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable for any reason, then such terms and conditions will be severed from the remaining terms and conditions, which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

Gecko Press specializes in publishing English versions of children's books by internationally well-established authors and illustrators, with a proven track record, which have won international awards.
We choose books which are strong in story, illustration and design, with a strong 'heart factor'.
